Excellent yarn
It looks lovely I haven't used it yet
The "hand" of the yarn is very soft and smooth. I am eager to see how the colors work out in the shawl I have planned.
It really is a quality wool and knits up to make a beautiful hardwearing sock.
I was extremely disappointed in this expensive yarn. I had wanted to buy something special to knit a pair of socks for my sister so didn't begrudge the price, but I had expected something much softer given the wool and silk content. I don't understand why it is marketed as 4-ply sock yarn . It is knitting on 3.5 mm needles, feeling exactly like the 8-ply I recently used for some boot socks, which is not at all what I wanted.
If it were just about color, I'd give 5 stars. Unfortunately, this yarn is difficult to knit as it has a "furry" surface and hooks fibers into any fibers around it. You want to make sure that you are already proficient in the pattern you are using this for. Unraveling is quite the chore.
Decent price and lovely color.
