Product Details
This gorgeous accessory can be worn either as a scarf or a little shawlette wrapped around the shoulders. Named for the North Sea (as photographed off the coast of the Netherlands), Noordzee starts with a beaded lace border and then is worked in short rows to shape the body of the piece. Knit up in a luxurious fingering yarn, this is the perfect finishing piece for summer. Border stitch pattern is presented both as a chart and as written directions. Sample shown was knit in Kettle Yarn Co Westminster, a camel/silk blend.
Skills required: knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, adding beads with a crochet hook. Gauge: 24 sts/34 rows over 4 in/10 cm in stockinette after gentle blocking.
