Nagaki Cable Lace Shawl
This is a pattern for a knit shawl that features two lace (and cable-lace) stitches that come to us from Japan. The focal stitch is an intricate and unique cable lace stitch that makes quite a statement. The border stitches are also unique, but quite a bit easier to knit. Combined, they make a one of a kind shawl, quickly becoming an heirloom.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable-lace knitting).
The two stitches are both charted and written out line by line.
Any heavy weight fingering yarn or sport weight yarn will work for this pattern using 3.75mm needles and get approximately 5 sts/inch.
No crochet hooks needed, if you don't want to do the optional edging.
