Multia is an easy-to-knit shawl whose name refers to several different colours that are its distinctive feature. The shawl uses mainly knit and purl stitches, it’s a perfect choice for a beginner at shawls wishing to try her/his hand at something new.
The best choice for the shawl would be tonal sock yarn, you can also use tonal fingering or sport, two different colourways - one for the body and the other for the stripes. Another optiotion is to use solid yarn for the main part and/or for the stripes and compose your own set of colours (you will need 6 different colours).
My shawl uses Lana Grossa Magico II Meilenweit #3523 as main colour and #3509 for stripes. The shawl measures 136cm/ 54’ wingspan and 48cm/ 19’ depth.
The pattern is adaptable in size but also in the proportions of different sections, it has both charts and written instructions.
The pattern was tested and proofread by native English speaking knitters.
