Depending on whether you choose to knit this **maddy laine **pattern in a cotton-linen blend or a sparkly metallic yarn, the resulting topper could easily take you from the beach to the ballroom.
This design is not meant to be a long hip-covering poncho, it’s a summer topper. The lower edges (the cast-on and cast-off rows) will sit near the waistline. The pattern includes a schematic to check finished measurements.
A knitter can choose to wear the neckline as a V-neck or crew neck style.
Optional buttonholes can be worked in the side borders.

I fortunately I was unable to use this pattern at the moment as I bought it with a view to using up some yarn I already had. It would be helpful if the amount and ply of yarn was quoted before actually buying the pattern, as I now find my yarn is not thick enough and I do not have enough!
