The Mas Vida shawl is knit side to side in garter and eyelets- not a single purl stitch in the pattern! Written for fingering, you can also knit it with any yarn weight you like!
This pattern has been tech edited & test knit so you can knit on with confidence. There are several videos included to help you learn how to read your knitting in this shawl, how to cast on and bind off.

About the NameMas Vida is the name of my friend Marta’s sister-in-law’s vineyard that we visited while in Catalonia. In Catalan, Mas is a country house- which means the house of LIFE and of course it means “more” in Spanish. Vida means “life.”
