This shawl consists of two parts: the main part and the border. The main part is worked in segments (you will need 25), and then the border in joined seamlessly to it with a simple trick. There's no need to break or join yarn. And just one color is used in any row.
Techniquie-wise, it is mostly short rows and mosaic knitting. Not too difficult, but not for the novice knitter.
