Blown away
I love, love, love driftwood! These are GORGEOUS and feel like velvet in my hands!
The wood is coated with something plasticky, that makes them very slick. One of the reasons I prefer uncoated wood needles is that they are not so slippery, and over time the oil from my hands and the yarn (especially wool) gives them a lovely patina. Instead I've got this very lovely wood that is like plastic and the slicker yarns slide right off instead of having a bit of grip from the wood. But they are lighter and warmer to use than wood, and I can take them on the plane without worrying...
