I had an idea for elegant mitts with cuffs made from soft alpaca fur. The alpaca yarn really makes the mitts feel extra special. The surprise was the medieval appearance achieved with one yarn and a more modern and sleeker look with another. All due to a difference in gauge! I loved both versions so much that this pattern includes instructions for both bulky yarns. These mitts are quickly made in the round, with size as you go construction to get the perfect fit. The tops of the thumbs are seemed with either Kitchener St or gathered, instructions provided for both. The Lady’s Knight Mitts are a joy to wear and quick to make.
