La Mer Douce is a hot water bottle cozy, knit to mimic a traditional fisherman’s Gansey. It uses traditional stitch patterns, cables, and construction elements. The back buttoned flap, boasts a simple heart motif. Knitters would often place theis heart and other motifs on the sweaters they were making - worked with their wishes of love, luck and safe return.
MATERIALS US 6 / 4 mm circular needle, 40” / 100 cm - or size necessary to obtain gauge
3 - 1” / 2.5 cm buttons

GAUGE 18 sts x 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch
