These hooks are simply lovely. I was slightly worried about trying wooden hooks as I've tried some bamboo hooks in the past and really didn't like them. There's absolutely nothing to worry about with these. The wood has been highly polished and glides smoothly through my yarn (even 100% acrylic yarn). The wires are easy to attach and I haven't had any trouble with them coming loose as I work
