Product Details
Join the Dots baby blanket is knitted using a simple slip stitch pattern.
Although the colours are speckled throughout, only one yarn is used on any row; making this an easy knit. The fabric has a garter stitch base (no purling!) which, with the slipped stitches, results in a cushy and warm blanket.
Using a solid colour for the main shade and a colour changing yarn for the contrast gives a beautiful effect; for an equally striking blanket, try two contrast solid colours of yarn.
The side borders are added on at the end of the blanket, but, as the fabric does not curl, you could if you wish leave these out.
Techniques used in the pattern are: knit, slipping stitches, picking up stitches.
The pattern has both written instructions and a chart so you can work from whichever you prefer.

The blanket is easy & relaxing to knit following clearly, simply explained instructions. The finished effect is beautiful, I haven’t done the border yet & am slightly disappointed that it is not included up the sides in the work as you go but will see how it is when I have finished. I think the recommended wool needs to be used in order to achieve the desired effect.
