One of my family’s favorite places to go on the weekends is Tilden Park in Berkeley. Within Tilden, there is a small body of water called Jewel Lake. It’s a short hike to the lake, but there is such variety both on the way and at the lake itself that we never tire of it. The beautiful watery colors of the Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted reminded me of happy mornings spent clambering around the lake, looking at snakes and frogs and turtles.
