Product Details
This is a pattern for a cabled laceweight shawl. This is the perfect shawl for an air conditioned restaurant, or chilly fall or spring evening. The cable stitch is an unusual one, but is easily learned, once worked. It adds a bit of dimension to the very light weight shawl. The pattern also has instructions for an optional bead crocheted edging, should you elect to finish it in the same way as shown in the photographs.
Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of cable knitting).
The stitch is both charted and written out line by line.
Any lace weight yarn that knits to a gauge or5 1/2 sts/inch in cabled pattern will work for this pattern, using size U.S. #7 (4.5mm) needles.
There are instructions for an optional bead crocheted edging contained within the pattern calling for size #8 seed beads, should you want it edged as in the picture.
