Horsetail is a toe-up sock with a heel-flap heel--but the heel flap is integrated into the heel turn, so there's no need to pick up stitches!
I designed this pattern to give you just a little bit of interest while knitting with self-striping or patterning yarns.
The wide opening cable on the top of the leg reminds me of the pattern's namesake.
