Ribbon yarn isn't like other yarn but it is interesting to work with. I needed something thick that wouldn't rip or tear easily for a water bottle holder for work since my last one tore. Not only was the yarn extremely bright and saturated but it had amazing stitch definition. Definitely recommend for an interesting project so long as you're okay with holes as it makes very holey yarn.
I'm loving these yarns. It's strong and surprisingly easy to knit with. I'm using smaller needles than recommended to avoid holes but that's no problem. If I could improve them I'd add extra meterage to the cake as it doesn't go as far as you think.
I absolutely love this yarn. It comes in a wide range of beautiful colours and it has an interesting tape structure. It is super eco-friendly as it’s made from recycled materials. Great for a summer blanket and knits up really quickly on 12mm needles. Would like the ball band to be made from easily recyclable materials instead of plastic as that would be even more eco-friendly.
Splendid stuff, I'm making baskets and hats (I was just doing baskets but my husband said 'that would be a good hat' so now both) - I'll write up a pattern and post it free soon. One tip - use from the outside and let the cylinder spin as you work, because if you use it from the middle it twists as you pull it out, and then it's hard to work with because you really need it to be flat to get the stitches neat (at least when you crochet, as I've been doing).
