It was hard to find Hanukkah crochet patterns so I created one! My Hanukkah Placemat Pattern features a Menorah motif worked in the intarsia method, similar to tapestry crochet. About 12" square. PDF includes detailed instructions and graph. The Menorah motif is worked in rows, then a wide border is worked in rounds around the square motif. It's a fun and interesting pattern to work. You’ll want to make one for your own Hanukkah celebration and several to give as gifts!
Worked in worsted weight yarn, 4 colors, less than 1 skein each. Approximate yardage: 50 yds. Light Blue (Light Periwinkle), 30 yds. Dark Blue (Soft Navy), 10 yds. Gold (Gold) and 12 yds. Ivory (Aran). I used Red Heart Super Saver in the colors indicated in ( ).
I listed the pattern as intermediate but it's possibly ok for advanced beginner. Patience and concentration is required for the motif. You must count stitches! You should know basic stitches, how to change color and, for the border, how to work in the round.
