This lace pattern reminds me of footsteps in the snow. The pattern is very simple with only three different pattern rows.
This lace scarf is 72 inches long and has a gentle rib-like quality. The pattern is completely reversible so you can fold and wrap it anyway you want.
The gauge is 16 stitches in the Foot Steps Lace pattern equals 3-1/4 to 3-1/2 inches.
The light blue sample is made with Jorstad Creek Orcas which is very similar to Madeleine Tosh Merino Light. The purple scarf is made with Jorstad Creek Narfi, Icelandic lambswool. The Footsteps Lace pattern makes a gorgeous scarf is just about any lace or light fingering weight yarn.
