This toy is inspired by the origami hexaflexagon, a three-dimensional piece that is turned in one of both directions, revealing four different faces made up of three diamonds. There are multiple versions of this and multiple names. You can also call it a kaleidocycle, but that name is more of a tongue-twister.
It's a very fast project, as you only have one seam to sew up. You can make many of these and stuff all the holiday stockings, or make some for your local NGO that works with people who like to fidget. They'll love them and possibly ask for more.
Skill level Beginner with some experience working in the round (like for amigurumi).
