The pattern includes written instructions for the first 2 rows, then you’ll follow the Filet Crochet Chart to work the rest of the rows. Instructions are given for how to work the open and closed mesh that is used in Filet Crochet.
Three options/photos are given for finishing the piece the way you or the recipient chooses. The finished piece (12" x 16") fits great in a 16″ x 20″ frame (or other mounting materials).
I've made 4 of these, 1 for each of my 3 sons' homes and 1 for my own home. They really do make great housewarming gifts!

- I used size 30 crochet thread for my 12" x 16" piece. You could use larger thread and hook to make a larger piece, if desired.
