Worked in 5 gorgeous shades of Mercerie aran wool; Denim Blue, Cornfield Yellow, Cinnamon Orange, Storm Grey, and Natural Grey it is the perfect crochet project for those long winter evenings. It is suitable for makers with good crochet skills. Other aran weight yarns could be substituted.
This pattern uses UK abbreviaitions and the pattern gives detailed instructions on how to make this absolutely stunning crochet blanket
It is worked using 5mm and 4mm hooks and takes 25 balls of Mercerie aran wool; the complete breakdown of colours is included in the pattern.
The centre is simply one very large granny square, and the edging is made up of 36 sunflower motifs. The bobble trim finishes it off beautifully.
