We love these little mitts with their intarsia heart motifs - but if you don't like using intarsia you can duplicate stitch these hearts on after you've knitted the mittens plain! The picot edges and mock flap details are just adorable - and don't forget, you can switch out the colors if you prefer something less pink!

Found the pattern to have too many individual pieces and would have preferred to do on double pointed needles to avoid all of that sewing up. The plum yarn was also a lot darker than that shown on the pattern which I found quite off putting. It would have been helpful to know whether to carry yarn forward or work intarsia. Instructions on making a loop would also be helpful. Sewing on the buttons would work better if they were sewn on before sewing up the sides, otherwise it’s almost impossible to do blind.
