Belonging Advent Shawl

The Belonging Shawl was inspired by the Zakami Yarns 2024 ‘Belonging’ Advent Calendar. It is crocheted from DK Merino wool in rich tonal shades. The design uses 24 x 20g mini skeins with a coordinated 100g skein used for the border.

This triangular shawl is crocheted side to side, increasing with the first 12 mini skeins then decreasing with the remaining 12 mini skeins. The textured stitch pattern looks intricate but is simple to crochet. This shawl would work well with alternative colour schemes.

When crocheted with the suggested yarn the shawl is 262cm (103in) wide with a 75cm (30in) drop.

Any Advent Calendar can be used to make your own unique version of this shawl. It is heavy and cosy when made with DK yarn. Sock yarn will produce a more delicate, draped scarf.
