This pattern takes the classical Counterpane technique and incorporates it into a lovely Baby Counterpane Christening Blanket. This design is a perfect gift for that special baby or to make for a special occasion of a Christening or baby Dedication. The center of the blanket is made up of 4 individually made squares that are sewn together to create the completed Counterpane center, then a lovely lace edging is added to the center for a special blanket that any baby would love to be wrapped in.
The sample was knit in Knit Picks Worsted Comfy. A substitute yarn is shown below.
