The Aliénor socks feature a delicate, flowery colourwork motif. Pick two contrast colours to fit your mood and create a moody autumnal feel, something with a more festive spirit or a fresher, spring-like look. The rounded flowers can accommodate both a bucolic and a regal effect : hence their dainty royal name ! Though it looks intricate, Aliénor's patterning remains intuitive and it will suit an adventurous beginner or a knitter with some stranded knitting experience. Pattern provides notes to find the gauge you need to achieve your size, as well as instructions for a German short-row heel.
