Lace Weight Yarn

Lace weight yarns are perfect for gossamer shawls and scarves. As the finest of all yarn weights, lace weight yarns can be used to make traditional wedding shawls so fine that they can pass through a wedding ring, or gentle Christening shawls. Lace weight (2-ply) or cobweb weight (an even finer yarn for lace work and 1-ply) yarns can be worked single or double stranded, on 2.00mm - 2.50mm needles or hooks, and despite its fineness, there are plenty of lace knitting patterns and lace crochet patterns that will keep you very warm!
