Aran & Worsted Yarn

Aran weight yarns, also known as heavy worsted yarn or 10 ply, are knitted on 5 mm needles and great for speedy makes. They can be sometimes used interchangeably with worsted weight yarn, however Aran yarn is actually thicker and heavier than worsted yarn. Ideal for warm and cozy garments, accessories and homeware, Aran weight yarns bring you all the drape of a finer yarn but work up faster than their lightweight cousins, like DK yarn.
