    About

I’ve been wanting to make a daisy cushion cover to match my daisy blanket for sometime, but I needed more of one of the colours and it’s been out of stock on this site for months.
So I decided to try out the idea I had for the pattern in neutral colours for a work colleague who was leaving, and this is the result. I bought some ready made fabric cushion covers - turns out they were envelope ones rather than zipped as I was hoping for - and made the crocheted cover to go on the top. I used a button to secure it although my original plan had been to stitch it to the under cover along the zip line. Oh well. I can’t seem to find the right size cushion covers with a zip anywhere and I don’t have the time or inclination to make them myself so I’ve had to make do.
The good news is that I have found some other yarn very similar to the colour I had run out of so now I can make another to match my blanket.

Thank you Michelle. I was pleased with how it turned out since it was an experiment. Not sure what my colleague made of it - she didn’t say much and I’m not sure she realises I made it!

@Karen P: it is beautiful Karen, I'm sure she loves it alot if people don't realise how much work goes into making things.😊😊💕💕

@Michelle M: I'm sure you're right Michelle. It's funny how we doubt ourselves over these things.
By the way, would you mind having a look at my blue daisy cushions and tell me which undercover looks better? I can't decide if the cream or brown/beige is better :)

Thank you Jennifer. I was aiming for neutral! The back is slightly different to the front as I ran out of one of the colours

Thank you Helen. It doesn’t quite match as the colours are different but watch this space for the matching one!
How is your blanket coming along?

@Karen P: Blanket? what blanket Karen? I am currently making socks for all my family for Christmas. I’m about done on that, but have fallen in love with a Christmas jumper pattern so have to make two of those by mid December!! Additionally I want to make some of Pat A’s gift baskets for our Christmas table and, if time allows, make a couple of things for the local Pre-School Bazaar. 😰 I think I might not get around to the blanket just yet. 😂😂

@Helen B: Goodness me Helen you definitely don't have time for a blanket at the moment! My list of Christmas making is piling up too - a jumper for a great-nephew, a crochet dress for a great-niece, a crochet bag for my mum and maybe a couple of hats for friends! Knitting for great niblings was fine when there was only one of them but now there are four it's a bit much, so some of them will have to make do with bought items. Have to manage the expectations of their parents!
