As the Welsh for daffodil is the same as for leek, it is thought likely the two plants became interchangeable and so both are used to represent the country.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWorked in stocking stitch the cover requires 1 x 50 gm ball. It is knitted in one piece starting with a small band of rib, stocking stitch for the main section, and finishing with another band of rib.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe daffodils are knitted separately using an I - cord for the stems together with stocking stitch for the leaves and flowers.
