Waves of Warmth

I often find that I want warm shoulders but don’t want to fuss with keeping a shawl on. Or I want a warm neck but a cowl looks odd with my outfit. A poncho? Can’t always wear a coat over it. What to do?

I created this shoulder warmer as a multi-tasker. It can act as a small poncho, a large cowl, or even a snood/hood. It tucks nicely into the neckline of a coat or sits gently over the shoulders showing off beautiful colors and simple lace.

The original pattern is made in Noro Kureyon, a worsted weight yarn with incredible texture and color variation. It is somewhat self-striping, which allows the lace pattern to shine. However, this garment also lends itself to stash busting, mini-skeins, and holding yarns doubled or tripled to create a marked, one-of-a-kind sensation.
