VIKING GARN Alpaca Storm 40% Alpaca superfine 40% Merino Ull 20% Nylon fiber Fabulous yarn, soft and delightful to knit with. Lots of colour choices and super value for money: eg, 133 metres for DK = 50 grams With Natural fibres preference, I have knitted this yarn for years, and can recommend Viking of Norway.
Bought lots of Viking Alpca Storm , super soft. Now knitting with Viking Garn Merino but unfortunately I can't seem to buy anymore. I can recommend this product: good prices too. My favourite yarn was Debbie Bliss Erin wool but unfortunately not available anymore. I like to knit with natural fibres
Lovely woolly, toothy yarn for fair isle knitting project. Hasn’t been washed yet so fingers crossed it behaves, but I’ve already discovered it can’t be blocked without stretching significantly so extra care will be needed. I made a Norwegian-style hat and cowl, but wouldn’t do anything larger until I know how the yarn behaves in the long term.
The wool is beautifully soft and nice to knit with. The finished garment looks lovely. My only concern is whether it will shrink when washed.
Great yarn for fair isle knitting, but not stable for blocking with heat.

Knits up very well, good stitch definition. It does split a bit which is irritating.
