Ursula

Ursula takes its inspiration from the sea witch herself from The Little Mermaid. Cables and eyelets join forces to create a unique scale-like texture. The cable texture then develops into a glorious lacework motif that reminds me of waves crashing upon the shore – paired with the Under the Sea colorway from Ancient Arts Yarns the lacework looks like seafoam as it floats back out to sea. 🌊

This shawl pattern shines well with solid, semi-solid, or lightly-variegated/speckled yarns. Picking an appropriate yarn for this project will ensure you don’t lose the fun texture achieved in the first section, nor have a yarn that distracts from the lovely lacework you’ll work on.

Worked flat, Ursula contains written directions and charts. A handy-dandy progress tracker is included to help you with your rows and stitch counts. Yardage for each section is given should you wish to turn this into a scrappy project!
