Urquhart Castle

Beside the deep and foreboding waters of Loch Ness sits what remains of Urquhart Castle. Much like storming a castle, the hardest part of this shawl is the beginning as it is worked from the outside in. The shawl has a thistle border, a shadow cable band, and a mesh center. The shawl comes in 3 shapes: triangle, three-quarter square, and square. The triangle & three-quarter come in small, medium, and large. The square is worked entirely in the round and comes in medium, large and X-large. The simplest way to further change the size is best made by changing the yarn weight, needle size, and/or gauge.
