Written pattern gives some help in using charts but row instructions are not included.
A note about gauge and size: I did not include gauge but one octagon motif in the sample afghan is approximately 10" square. Choose a gauge that gives your yarn the drape and hand you like - the pattern is easy to adjust in either dimension to give you the size you want.
A note about yardage: one octagon motif uses about 60 yards of octagon color and 35 yards of main
