Triple Ribbed Pixie Bonnet

This beautiful bonnet is quick & easy to make. It looks beautiful in a whole range of colours & is so quick you’ll want to make one for every stage of your little one’s toddlerhood! This pattern is broken into 5 different sizes, catering for newborns through to 4 year olds.

I created this pattern out of a need for a quick bonnet that was still stylish and cosy. The result is a deliciously cuddly bonnet that is suitable for both girls and boys, & can be created in a weekend.

Knitting with two strands of DK yarn makes this quick to knit and the triple rib stitch gives the bonnet the characteristic chunkiness & extra warmth. The point at the top adds whimsical charm & the stretchy sides will not only keep baby’s ears & cheeks warm but provide room for baby to grow, making this sweet bonnet both stylish and practical.

The Bonnet is worked flat on two straight needles.  A pair of double pointed needles are required for the i-cord ties, but there is no knitting in-the-round.
