Toby's Pumpkin Bag

My son Toby designed the pumpkin squares on stitch fiddle. I told him whatever he designed I would crochet it for him. The squares turned out so well I designed them into a bag.

This crochet bag consists on a written pattern as well as a chart for each pumpkin, the plain pumpkin and the pumpkin with a face. You work the pumpkin squares up with Intarsia crochet but you can use tapestry crochet if you prefer. This may add a little bulk to the square but should not affect it too much.

I used Stylecraft Special DK yarn in Spice, white, Cypress, Proper Purple and Black and a 4mm crochet hook. You can use any weight yarn and appropriate hook size but this will alter the dimensions of the bag.

The finish bag is approximately 23 inches long including the handles by 12 inches wide.
