What Is Being Made
The Malina Top is a crochet garment designed by Ashly of The Weaving Witch. This is a beginner-friendly crochet top pattern that is customized to individual body measurements, making it an accessible project for crafters new to garment construction. The design accommodates various sizes through a measurement-based approach rather than fixed sizing, allowing makers to create a perfectly fitted top tailored to their own proportions.
Crochet Techniques and Construction
This crochet top is constructed using fundamental crochet techniques suitable for beginners. The pattern is worked to your body measurements, which means the construction method accounts for individual sizing from the ground up. This measurement-driven approach is an excellent technique for creating custom-fit garments, as it eliminates the guesswork of standard sizing and allows the maker to adjust the piece as they work to ensure proper fit around the bust, waist, and length.

While specific stitch details are not fully visible in the provided pattern excerpt, the Malina Top employs crochet stitches appropriate for worsted and DK weight yarns. The pattern uses standard crochet construction methods that are beginner-accessible, making it an ideal first garment project for those learning to crochet wearables.
