A while ago, I started to think how to crochet diamond motifs avoiding all the sewing you usually have to do after crocheting a huge amount of them, as when you work on a blanket…
So, I came out with the idea to adapt the “join-as-you-go-method” to the diamond motifs, working them no more one piece at a time, but preferring to crochet vertical strips of motifs, then joined together (strip after strip) with some slip stitches !!! Easy peasy!!!
One day I will show you the blanket I made for my son Tobia with this method!
The cowl of this pattern is a good start to become acquainted with the “join-as-you-go-method”, as it is a very simple design with just few diamonds to crochet!
