Sylvia - lace stitch beanie and cowl

This slouchy Beanie and Cowl set is worked in a beautiful lace stitch, on larger needles, to create an open, airy, fabric. The Cowl can be worn long and loose, or wrapped twice for extra warmth.

Beanie to fit head: 56cm [22 ins].

Cowl depth: 40cm [16 ins].

Cowl length: 120cm [47 ins].

Yarn required: 1 ball Plassard Miroir, 150g balls@480m.

Needles required: A pair of 5.50mm [UK 5, US 9] knitting needles.

A pair of 6.00mm [UK 4, US 10] knitting needles.

Wool needle for sewing up.

Tension: 14.5 sts and 19 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over patt, using 6.00mm needles.

This pattern is worked on larger needles and at a looser tension than usually recommended.
