Simple top down hat is worked in the round with increases and decreases to form a clever swirl pattern around the brim. Icord edging provides a simple but cute edge that prevents rolling.
Size: Baby/child, adult- 16 (20) inches [40 (50)cm] around head
Finished Size: 16 (20) inches around, 6.5 (9) inches high
Gauge: 6 stitches & 7 rows in stockinette stitch = 1 inch [2.5cm]
Level: Intermediate- knit, increase, decrease, and I-cord edging, provisional cast on.
Yarn: Spud & Chloe Fine Sock (80% superwash wool, 20% silk, 248yds/227m per 65g skein) 1 skein 7802 (orange) plus small amount of 7803 (brown)and 7809 (purple).
You can do the entire hat in one skein of yarn if you prefer a solid color.
