Product Description
Free fruity toy knitting pattern, these satsumas are just the right size for small hands to play with, and are a cute, quick project to knit up over a weekend!
Each toy satsuma uses only 20g of orange Dk yarn and is worked flat in knit and purl stitches with simple increasing and decreasing. The satsumas are about 9cm/3.5 inches tall when finished.
You Will Need:
A pair of 3mm straight knitting needles
About 20g of orange Dk yarn for each satsuma. Pictured fruits knitted in Rico Ricorumi DK in Terracotta (the muted colour)- you can make one satsuma from this ball of yarn, and Drops Muskat Unicolour in Dark Orange (the brighter orange)- you should be able to make two satsumas from this ball.
For the leaves I used a small amount of Stylecraft Special Dk in Meadow (1065) You can substitute any other yarns you have in your stash.
You’ll also need a length of black Dk yarn for the mouth, some toy stuffing, darning needle and 6mm toy safety eyes (or you can embroider the eyes instead.)
