This is shearling wool from Cheviot and Romney Marsh sheep reared in Northumberland, spun in Yorkshire and hand dyed at Whistlebare. This yarn is ideal for colourwork and gives excellent stitch definition. The first time I saw this yarn it made me think of walking in the countryside at sunset.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI have used stranded colourwork with jacquard floats which are an elegent and neat tchnique. Twisted stitches make a textured pattern reminiscent of ears of corn.
