Summer Ripples

Summer days beckon and what better way to get ready than to crochet this adorable top for the 2-year-old in your life?

The ripple stitch from Attic24 is used for the main body section and shows off a variegated yarn to great effect. The racer-style back works well for toddlers to avoid those dangling shoulder straps. Using white for the edgings gives a whole retro-feel to the variegations. The pattern is worked from the neckline down and has no seams or sewing. It was designed using a 100% cotton sports yarn – Catania by Schachenmayr. Other sports-weight yarns can be substituted but 100% cotton is advised.
