Product Description
This is a free pattern intended for charity. I chose an universal yarn - sock yarn. To make it even more versatile, this pattern features instructions for 4ply, 6ply and 8ply (or holding 4ply yarn doubled). 6 sizes are offered from kid to extra large adult. The ribbed brim is worked to double the length needed so it can fold over for extra warmth. The hat has a bit of slouch to allow for tolerance in fitting and in round gauge. This hat features my "signature decrease lines" which uses staggered ssks.
This pattern is also a "blank canvas" to get your creativity going. Use self-striping yarn for instant color work, or use left-overs and make your own striping. Use helix knitting or fading or even throw in a stitch pattern to your liking.
You will need a circular needle and optional a set of dpns. For needle size, please refer top the pattern instructions because there are 3 different gauges listed.
