Product Description
SNOWCRYSTAL Mittens pattern is for a pair of full mittens featuring snowcrystals made of little beads which are worked into the mittens as they are knitted up. The finished mittens can be embellished with silver thread & extra sew-on crystals if liked.
The mittens are worked flat, using DK yarn (or equivalent) & 2 single point needles, with stitched side seams.
The instructions are written row by row, in four separate sizes, to suit anyone from age 3 yrs to adult. A bead placement chart is included for those who prefer to work this way.
The pattern is in PDF format on 5 pages.
Stitches & techniques required: Knit & Purl sts; increasing/decreasing, knitting sts together: Knitting into front & back of sts; Knitting with beads; stitching up & finishing off.
The pattern is suitable for most types of DK yarn. I chose to knit mine in a washable 100% wool yarn, for warmth & practicality.
