We all knit swatches to check our gauge, or to see how a stitch pattern looks in a particular yarn. And we usually unravel them before knitting the garment.
Not here! This is a scarf of swatches (or sampler blocks), and you're the designer. You decide what yarn to use. You decide which blocks to knit You determine the length of the finished scarf.
Complete charts, written instructions and photos are provided for 34 sampler blocks, and each block has its own page. This is a BIG 44-page pattern.
Choose a busy block when you have time, or a simple repeat when you're rushed. Most are easy knit/purl combinations suitable for the novice knitter. There are also 4 "picture" blocks (Cross, Heart, Home and Star) that require greater concentration,
There's no need to get bored with a lengthy stitch pattern -- in 40 or 42 rows you'll be trying another. Knit one or 2 blocks a day and in no time your spectacular scarf will be complete.
