This easy crochet pattern starts with a Shamrock which you build the granny squares onto.

This pattern calls for worsted weight yarn and a size H hook. The amount of yarn you need will depend on your ultimate project goal.

The pattern is listed as easy, but only because it contains multiple direction changes when making the shamrock. A studious beginner could tackle this pattern with no problem.

The finished granny square is 6 inches by 6.5 inches. You choose how to put them together! Make a granny square afghan blanket, or a shawl wrap, or make a tablet cover or pillow... the options are endless!!
