I felt that I should mark this event by knitting her a pair of socks to wear to school.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMy own memories of school socks were of knee length white socks, always with some kind of lace pattern on. I wanted to have a nod to that vintage design in my own socks.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe School House Socks feature a pretty lace pattern around the top of the leg, and a little hint of that lace before the toe.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe pattern is both written and charted, and is worked using the magic loop method. You can of course use your preferred method to knit them.
