Product Description
Like Samwise Gamgee, these socks are simple and practical. The stitch pattern is easy to memorize, yet interesting enough to keep you from being bored; a good TV or travel knit. The pattern works well with stripes and most variegated yarns. It is perfect for those men (and women) who don’t like fussy socks.
One size - Suitable for teen/adult foot circumferences of 8 – 9 in/20 – 23 cm allowing 0.5 – 1 in/1 – 2.5 cm negative ease. Foot and leg lengths customizable.Stitch pattern has significant stretch similar to ribbing so the size is more flexible than a stockinette sock.
Pattern is knit in the round from the top down with a horseshoe heel (flap and gusset construction). The stitch pattern is carried down the heel. Instructions are detailed but assume you have basic knowledge of top-down sock construction including turning a heel, picking up stitches, and Kitchener stitch grafting. Includes both written and charted instructions.
