Riley Blake Diamond Rose Quilt Pattern

Project Overview

The Riley Blake Diamond Rose is an intermediate-level downloadable quilting pattern designed by Emily Taylor Design. This finished quilt measures 43" x 53½", making it an ideal size for a throw quilt or lap blanket. The pattern features the RoseCliff block as its primary design element, with finished blocks measuring 9½" x 9½". The design incorporates five different block combinations, allowing quilters to create visual interest and movement throughout the finished piece.

Quilting Techniques and Construction

This pattern requires a basic knowledge of quilting technique and terminology. The construction method involves piecing together fabric units using fundamental quilting techniques. All measurements provided include a ¼" seam allowance, and pieces should be sewn with right sides together unless otherwise specified. The pattern uses straightforward unit construction to build the RoseCliff blocks, which are then assembled into the full quilt top.

RoseCliff Block Design

The RoseCliff block is constructed by combining large triangles in assorted prints with clean white solid large triangles. To complete one block, quilters sew an assorted print large triangle and a clean white solid large triangle together to create Unit A. This unit is then repeated four times to form the complete 9½" x 9½" block. The five different block combinations allow for customization and pattern variation across the quilt top.
